November Broccoli

Out of 6 broccoli plants planted in June, only one survived varmints to produce broccoli.  I harvested a few heads, but left some on the plant because I wanted to see what would happen.

Here's what the plant looked like on Sunday.  Still flowering.  Still producing edible broccoli.  It's been a tremendously warm November.  Me and the broccoli are enjoying every minute of it.

  1. I didn't do Broc this year, but my friend Willowe did and she was very happy with it! I'm putting it on next year's list..it may replace the peas that got eaten. And I'm not sure I had enough planted for a meal anyway!!

  2. I've never seen broccoli flowered out that much! It's really very pretty, isn't it? It would even look great in a flower garden. Thanks for the picture!

  3. I'll try to remember to take another picture that shows how spindly and big this plant has gotten. It's pretty neat. I've read that you can cut heads so that you'll get more heads. I need to learn how to do that.
