The Mouse-Killing Crew

The mouse-killing process is beginning to coalesce, and involves both dogs and each cat.

Here's how it goes.

  1. One of the cats flushes a mouse.
  2. Maggie gets enthusiastic and goes over to help.
  3. The cat abandons the mouse.
  4. Maggie plays with the mouse and kills it, then sits with it for a short while.
  5. When Maggie moves away from the now-dead mouse, Desmond goes over and eats it.
I like it! It's resource-efficient and self-cleaning!

  1. Talk about having a whole system going there! Pretty soon you won't have to be buying dog food for Desmond.

Methinks the smartest thing you've done is to get the cats. Your mouse population (INSIDE!) is amazing.
