Groundhog Day

Blueberry bushes sleeping

Groundhog Day is a modern holiday grafted on top of an old Celtic festival, Imbolc, celebrating the midpoint of winter, since February 2 falls midway between the winter solstice and the vernal equinox.

I wish for warmer, lighter days, but realize there is nothing to do but be patient as the great wheel continues to turn.

Thanks to WinterWoman for the enlightening post yesterday.
