The Homesteader's Car
Maggie's new favorite place. So now, in addition to having the dirtiest car in the parking lot at work (because I live on a dirt road), my car is the only car in the lot at work with dog footprints on the hood ... and roof.
I think it's neat! We would always have cat footprints running all over our car. And then there was the year we found raccoon prints in the bottom of my sister's wading pool! We turned the pool over so they wouldn't get washed away - I think we kept them like that for a couple of weeks!
The best is yet to come . . . wait until you get goats and you arrive at work with little, round, black, nanny goat berries snuggled in around your windshield wipers.
My car is new. I'm not ready for being walked on by animals yet!Give me another year or two. Perhaps there is envy from the others in the parking lot. I am often the dirtiest car, too. Oh, the Places You Go!!
I am a 40-something city girl trying to integrate city and country, homestead-y things like spinning and knitting, cheese and beer making with city things like art and culture and other people.
